Designed to be used with "Marshmallow Fun Company" breeched-style "V2" marshmallow blasters in order to adapt the breech to basically any type of barrel you could fit on a 1.25" PVC coupler setup. It uses the same screw as the stock breech, so installing this only takes unscrewing and reusing a single screw.
The locking tab allows this adapter to be used as a breech just like the original, although closing and opening it will be slightly stiffer due to using a solid locking tab. Alternatively, you can put a ziptie through the loop in order to lock the breech closed if you plan to just use it as a coupler for rocket barrels, large absolvers, or long barrel setups such as hoppers or RSCBs. Currently it's only a friction fit to hold fittings and barrels in, so for a breeched setup you may wish to more securely attach your intended barrel.
The inside is 43mm compared to 42.418mm in 1.25" fittings in order to provide some slight tolerances for printing. The locking tab and hinge tabs both have some wiggle room if you need to adjust scaling a little bit. The pieces are designed to not need any supports, though you may need some slight filing/sanding on the front/bottom edge of the locking tab since it needs to be mostly flat. I printed my test pieces at .25mm height and no supports with no issues.
Included are three files:
-
marshmallow_1-25in_breech_short.stl - The piece as seen in the pictures, 31mm breech length. Aside from the locking tab all other angles are 45° minimum for easy printing.
-
marshmallow_1-25in_breech_short.stp - The same piece as the stl in stp for easier editing. Has all the chamfers and fillets as the ready-to-print version.
- marshmallow_1-25in_breech_for_modding.stp - The barebones pieces needed to function without any of the chamfering or drafted faces, and as a result is not easily printable without modification.
If you're interest in an absolver fitting for this breech, check out my Nerf 7 Shot Absolver Shell for 1.25" PVC Fittings where you can either use the capped shell like you would with a coupler or mount the shell insert into the breech for a dedicated absolver breech.
