Introduction
This is a quick and dirty tool I created to allow me to twist-remove those annoying dart posts/dart pegs in various Nerf blasters, so that I can use half length darts. Comes in particularly handy for Nerf MicroShots which seem to be glued/solvent-welded shut, and are otherwise difficult to disassemble.
If you've ever tried to insert a pair of needle-nose pliers down the barrel of a blaster, you'll know how difficult it is to fit it in there. Hence why I created this compact removal tool.
How to use this
Simply insert the removal tool (rounded end first) all the way into the dart post, then grasp the little handle and twist left and right about a half turn. Repeat until the dart post breaks off and comes loose -- if you do it right, you should be able to get a very clean break.
If the dart post remains stuck inside the removal tool, you'll need to use a small screwdriver or similar long implement to poke it out.
Tested and confirmed working for:
- Hammershot
- MicroShots Hammershot
- MicroShots Firestrike
- Mediator Doublestrike.
But it should fit just about all blasters really. The socket profile is 4mm square.
